Extend the range of your Canon or Nikon DSLR camera's pop-up flash
Rogue Safari uses an optically engineered fresnel lens to focus the light from a DSLR camera's pop-up flash to greatly increase the available flash power at extended distances. The Safari lens takes light that would otherwise be spread out at short range and instead focuses it in a smaller area to extend the range of the pop-up flash. Safari is intended to be used with lens focal lengths greater than 100mm and is ideal for use with all-in-one telephoto zoom lenses, including: 16-300mm, 18-135mm, 18-200mm, 18-250mm, 18-270mm, 55-200mm, and 55-250mm lenses. When Safari is used with wider angle lens focal lengths less than 100mm, it is normal to see some vignetting (dark edges around the image). 

More light gives you sharper images with better color 
Current DSLR pop-up flashes provide enough light to photograph subjects closer than 15 feet, but fall short lighting subjects farther away. When photographing subjects beyond 15 feet, the extra light provided by the Rogue Safari means you can get sharper images with better color. The Safari's ability to extend the distance of the pop-up flash is useful anytime you need more light, in flat overcast lighting, shade, even for fill light for back-lit subjects. Small and lightweight, the Rogue Safari is easy to keep in your bag for family outings, youth sports, vacations, and nature photography. 

Rogue Safari complements your DSLR camera’s pop-up flash 
For many photographers who do not intend on spending hundreds of dollars on an accessory flash, Rogue Safari greatly increases the capability of the pop-up flash at a fraction of the cost. In addition, at only 2 oz, photographers may choose to carry a Rogue Safari in their bag rather than larger, heavier accessory flashes. While Rogue Safari puts out a significant amount of light at a distance compared to a bare pop-up flash, Safari is not intended to replace more expensive accessory flashes for all applications.

Rogue Safari weighs just 2 oz. (60 g). Molded from rugged polycarbonate materials, the Rogue Safari is designed to travel as a durable companion to your DSLR. The Safari stores easily in your camera bag, and attaches quickly and securely to the DSLR camera's hot shoe. 

How does the Safari attach to my camera? 
Rogue Safari attaches securely to a DSLR camera's hot shoe. The molded spring design fits tightly so that it won't fall out during active photography. Because the dimensions of cameras' hot shoes vary significantly between camera brands and models, Safari will fit some cameras more tightly than others. The Safari adjusts to your hot shoe and is designed to slide in and out more easily after several uses as the spring relaxes and adjusts to the hot shoe. 

Rogue Safari camera compatibility
The Rogue Safari is compatible with most Canon APS-C, and all Nikon DX sensor DSLR cameras. Safari compatible Canon cameras include all Canon Digital Rebel cameras introduced since 2005, and the Canon 60D and 70D. Safari compatible Nikon cameras include all DX sensor cameras introduced since 2002. Please note, the Rogue Safari is not compatible with, or is not optimized for use with, Nikon's FX camera bodies such as the D800, D700, or the D600.
